About the Opportunity
Tamara — Saudi Arabia's first fintech unicorn and the region's leading 'shop now, pay later' platform — is hiring a Governance Manager to join its Governance team in Riyadh. Serving millions of users across KSA, UAE and Kuwait and partnering with global brands like SHEIN, Jarir, noon, IKEA and Farfetch, Tamara sits at the heart of the GCC's fintech boom. This is a high-visibility role where you'll be the focal point for corporate governance, working hand-in-hand with Legal, Compliance, Risk and business stakeholders.
What You'll Own
- Governance framework & oversight: maintain and continuously improve the governance framework — committees, charters, RACI, escalation paths and decision logs — so accountability stays crystal clear.
- Policy governance: run the end-to-end policy lifecycle, from ownership and periodic reviews to version control, publication and retirement, backed by a central policy inventory mapped to regulatory obligations including SAMA.
- Regulatory readiness: own the regulatory obligations register and keep 'evidence packs' audit-ready for SAMA visits and regulatory requests.
- SAMA engagement: coordinate internal inputs, track commitments and deadlines, and enforce the rules on external sharing of sensitive governance documents.
- Committee secretariat: drive committee cadence, agendas, minutes, actions and decision documentation, translating outputs into policy and control changes.
- Assurance coordination: support internal audit and compliance monitoring with clean documentation trails and management action plans.

A detail-obsessed governance professional who thrives on structure and enjoys keeping senior stakeholders aligned. You'll be comfortable operating in a regulated fintech environment, passionate about auditability (requirement → policy/control → evidence), and skilled at building a culture of accountability through policy awareness, training and attestations.
