About the Opportunity

talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group — one of the world's leading local delivery platforms operating in around 65 countries — is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its team in Kuwait (Salmiya). You'll be a trusted legal partner to the business, handling everything from commercial contracts to regulatory affairs and litigation coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Corporate Legal Affairs: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts covering services, suppliers, branding and marketing, leasing, vendors, confidentiality, IP, and employment
Legal Advisory: Provide expert advice on contractual, commercial, and legislative matters to business units and management
Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks in contracts and transactions and flag them early — recommending practical compliance and mitigation solutions
Litigation Management: Coordinate with external law firms, prepare evidence and documentation, and manage legal risk around lawsuits and investigations
Regulatory Affairs: Analyse decisions and regulations from local authorities that could impact the company, respond to regulatory inquiries, and build compliance checklists for new products and projects

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in law — an LLM or additional qualifications are a strong plus
3–4+ years of progressive legal experience, ideally in e-commerce, technology, or an international law firm
Solid grasp of corporate law, commercial law, contracts, corporate governance, and international law
In-depth knowledge of consumer protection, IP, and food-control regulations is an advantage
Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to advise senior leadership

This is a broad, hands-on role for a commercial lawyer who enjoys variety — one day you're negotiating a supplier agreement, the next you're representing the company before a regulatory authority.
