About the Opportunity
Nelly is building the AI-driven financial operating system for European healthcare — the platform that turns chaotic admin work in medical practices into intelligent, automated workflows spanning patient care, billing, and next-gen payments. Backed by a Series B of over €50M from world-class investors, they're now growing the legal team and looking for a Legal Counsel with a genuine passion for data privacy and AI.
This isn't a back-office compliance seat. You'll sit right where sensitive patient data meets fast-moving product development — and you'll be the one making sure the two don't collide.
The Role & Impact
You'll independently own data protection work end to end: negotiating and managing DPAs, running vendor privacy reviews, and guiding new products from day one on data protection strategy. Every team — product, engineering, commercial — will look to you as the go-to person for privacy questions. In short, you don't just advise on data protection at Nelly; you shape what data protection means inside the product itself.
What You Bring
- Qualified lawyer with solid hands-on experience in data protection (GDPR, DPAs, privacy reviews)
- Comfort operating at the intersection of law and AI/technology
- The judgment to move fast without cutting corners — because practices can't wait on red tape
- Fluent English; German language skills are a strong plus for the DACH context
- A collaborative style that works across teams, not just within Legal
