The Role
As Managing Counsel, Commercial (EMEA), you'll join the Employment, Product and Commercial legal sub-team as a senior individual contributor. Your mission: deliver pragmatic, innovative legal solutions for Remote's products and stakeholders while protecting the company from unacceptable risk. You'll be the primary legal advisor to the EMEA sales team, tag-teaming with existing EMEA sales and data-protection counsel for seamless regional coverage.
What You'll Do
- Provide timely, practical legal support on Terms of Service negotiation, contract redlining and commercial agreement reviews — with responsiveness, brevity and clarity
- Strategize, draft and negotiate partnership and channel/reseller agreements as Remote's partnership initiatives grow
- Partner with Sales, Finance and cross-functional teams to structure commercial agreements that balance business objectives and legal risk
- Develop and improve templates, playbooks and knowledge resources for commercial transactions and sales support
- Deliver legal training to internal stakeholders, empowering sales teams to navigate complex commercial issues
What You Bring
- Proven expertise in enterprise-level SaaS agreements, ToS negotiations and sales contract reviews; EMEA sales support experience highly valued
- Partnership and channel/reseller experience is a strong plus; HR-tech familiarity beneficial
- Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills — creative, practical, solutions-focused
- Solid working knowledge of data protection laws, especially GDPR
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment with strong automation and AI fluency
