People Advisor (HR, Employee Relations) — Leeds, UK
About the Opportunity
GoCardless — the global bank-payments company — is looking for a People Advisor in Leeds to play a key role in creating a high-performing and inclusive employee experience. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, Reward and People Partnering, you'll be a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across the business, supporting key People team initiatives and helping resolve employee relations issues in line with company values.

This role exists to create real capacity within the People Partnering team — enabling Senior People Partners and the People Relations Partner to focus on strategic, high-impact work while you ensure the foundations are consistently excellent. What Excites You
- Being the Go-To: Act as a key point of contact for HR queries, triaging with good judgement and driving improvements in self-serve capabilities
- Supporting People Partners: Provide hands-on support to Senior People Partners and the People Relations Partner across performance, retention, ER, and people initiatives
- Employee Relations Support: Resolve ER matters with care and consistency, escalating complex cases and coaching managers to build capability
- Supporting the HR Operating Model: Contribute to HR processes, templates, and toolkits that make the People team more scalable
- Connecting the Dots: Collaborate across the People team for a joined-up employee experience, using data for evidence-based decisions
