People Business Partner (Defence AI, HR) — Helsing, Munich, Germany

The Role
We're looking for a People Business Partner to join our Munich team and play a hands-on role delivering the people programmes and partnerships that keep Helsing's teams performing and growing. You'll work within a cross-functional People function spanning People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and People Partnering.
The Day-to-Day
- Support the execution of Helsing's performance framework — probation reviews, feedback cycles, and calibration — keeping German delivery consistent with company-wide standards
- Build manager and team capability through training, curated resources, and practical guidance
- Be the first point of contact for people policies, German employment law questions, and employee relations
- Guide managers through team scaling, performance conversations, and organisational change
- Cultivate a deep internal network across engineering, research, policy, and operations
- Use people data to surface early signals on team health, engagement, and retention
You Should Apply If
You bring experience in HR partnering or people operations — ideally in a fast-scaling, mission-driven environment — plus knowledge of German employment law and employee relations. Just as important: you build trust through genuine business acumen, staying close to the ground rather than operating as a distant function. Fluency in German is a plus but not a blocker; Helsing works internationally.
