People Operations Partner (Employee Lifecycle, HR) — Berlin, Germany
About the Opportunity
N26 is Europe's leading digital bank, headquartered in Berlin and operating across 20+ markets. The Global People Operations team — classically known as HR — is looking for a People Operations Partner to join on a 1-year fixed-term contract. This is a hybrid role based in Berlin (minimum 3 days per week in-office), where you'll help deliver a seamless employee experience across the entire lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
The Role & Impact
You'll be the operational backbone of the People function for N26's European countries — managing day-to-day people processes with care, empathy, and precision, backed by modern tools like Workday and a Jira ticketing system that ensures nothing slips through the cracks.
In This Role, You Will
- Run day-to-day People Operations across the full employee lifecycle in European countries — contracts, leaves, amendments, offboarding
- Manage requests via the ticketing system with a focus on SLAs and employee experience
- Look after all Workday (HRIS) processes with a sharp eye on data accuracy and quality
- Proactively find process improvements and efficiency gains
- Support compliance matters — from internal audits to process quality assurance
- Work with the People Technology team on workflow automation, and with stakeholders across Payroll, People Tech, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Workplace
What You Need to Be Successful
- 2+ years of hands-on HR work experience
- Extensive knowledge of the full employee lifecycle — ideally in the German market
- Excellent English (German is a plus), strong organisational skills, and the discipline to follow through on every case
- Comfort with HR systems and a data-quality mindset
