Principal Content Engineer — Turn Cloudflare's Tech Into Teachable Content (US)
About Cloudflare
Cloudflare is on a mission to help build a better Internet. The company runs one of the world's largest networks, powering millions of websites and Internet properties for customers from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies — protecting and accelerating any Internet application without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code.
Named to Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company, Cloudflare hires builders who see the cracks in the Internet everyone else has learned to live with — and use AI to solve them.
The Role
As Principal Content Engineer on the Developer GTM team, you'll sit at the intersection of engineering and content — turning Cloudflare's technical capabilities into clear, compelling material that developers actually want to read and use.
This is a principal-level role: you'll own content strategy and execution for technical audiences, work closely with product and engineering teams, and set the quality bar for how Cloudflare communicates its platform to developers.
What You'll Do
- Create and lead technical content — docs, guides, tutorials, demos and enablement material
- Partner with engineering to translate complex features into developer-ready content
- Shape content strategy for the Developer GTM organization
- Use AI tools to produce, iterate and scale content without sacrificing quality
Who We're Looking For
- Strong technical writing or developer-education background, ideally in infrastructure/cloud
- Real engineering fluency — you can read code and APIs, not just prose
- Editorial leadership: you set standards and lift the team around you
- AI-native curiosity — you're already using AI to work faster
Why Cloudflare
A principal seat in a fast-growing developer-facing team, with the authority to shape how one of the Internet's most important companies talks to developers. Hybrid in Austin, SF or NYC.
