The Role
As a Principal Medical Writer, you'll play a fundamental role in shaping individual projects within an account, working with senior direction. You'll co-lead the creation of outstanding medical content across various therapy areas and provide strategic insights that elevate client deliverables. It's a role for a proactive communicator who enjoys managing writing teams, guaranteeing quality and accuracy, and acting as a primary contact for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-lead development of high-quality medical content across multiple therapy areas and initiatives, meeting and exceeding client expectations
- Provide strategic input to accounts — probing client briefs with confidence and distilling them for internal teams
- Adopt a questioning mindset to scientifically and strategically challenge and elevate outputs
- Co-lead implementation of AI into new projects and initiatives within an account
- Act as the day-to-day medical contact for clients
- Manage and mentor junior writers to deliver high-quality work under pressure
- Uphold the highest standards in medical writing: the right channel, style, and format for every project
- Advocate for best practices in project management and delivery; lead knowledge training for junior team members
