Your Mission
As Senior AFC Compliance Officer for Bitpanda's activities in Germany, you'll build and run a robust, effective, and scalable AML/CFT and sanctions compliance framework. You'll act as the key senior AML control owner in Germany, ensuring compliance with the German Money Laundering Act (GwG), BaFin expectations, FIU requirements, applicable EU AML/CFT rules, the Transfer of Funds Regulation / Travel Rule, and Bitpanda Group standards.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the appointed AMLO or Deputy AMLO and senior AML control owner for Bitpanda in Germany, establishing and managing a scalable AML/CFT and sanctions framework
- Ensure full alignment with local and regional standards — GwG, BaFin expectations, and EU rules
- Own sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting in the German entity
- Partner with Group compliance and local leadership to keep controls effective as the business scales
- Be the senior AML voice in Germany — advising the business, regulators, and auditors
Who You Are
Deep AFC/AML experience in financial services or crypto, with a strong grasp of German regulatory requirements. You think in risk frameworks, communicate with authority, and thrive in a fast-moving, roll-up-your-sleeves environment.
