Senior Content Writer, Global (Thought Leadership & Editorial) — Adyen, Amsterdam
Adyen — the financial technology platform trusted by Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft — is looking for a structured, proactive Senior Content Writer to join its Amsterdam HQ and report to the Global Content Lead. This is a role for a senior storyteller who can turn complex payments and fintech themes into brand-defining editorial.
The Role & Impact
You'll respond to a wide range of briefs while applying a deep understanding of Adyen's value proposition, marketing strategy, and brand to hit measurable outcomes. Expect complex, high-visibility projects where you drive differentiation through data-driven storytelling, long-form capability, and narrative depth.
What You'll Do
- Produce and maintain content assets following established processes, formats, and guidelines
- Write thought leadership articles, brand narratives, editorial series, and long-form content that build the brand's authority — plus supporting copy across channels
- Get on the ground for case studies and shoots that involve content creation
- Lead content initiatives end-to-end, partnering with internal and external stakeholders and design partners from kickoff to delivery
- Research and curate data, audience insights, and newsworthy angles; interview stakeholders to inform content
- Analyse content impact against clear goals, applying digital marketing best practices
- Create and update writing templates and guidelines that scale across studios
- Mentor writers across studios to keep quality at its highest
What You Are
- 10+ years of professional writing experience
- A storyteller: curious about audience motivations, behaviours, and preferences
- Skilled at thought leadership and data-driven storytelling with a journalistic eye for the angles that matter
- Impeccable attention to detail, self-starting, deadline-driven, and comfortable with iteration and feedback
- Full professional proficiency in English (written and verbal)
