Senior Design Engineer — Make buffer.com Feel as Good as the Product (Remote, Worldwide)
About the Role
Buffer is hiring a Senior Design Engineer to join the Marketing team — the engineer closest to how Buffer looks and feels on the web. You'll own the front-end design system, build performant components, and craft the interactions and animations that bring buffer.com to life.
What You'll Do
- Build polished, interactive web experiences: product launch pages, brand storytelling, landing pages, and marketing tools
- Bring pages to life with thoughtful animations and interactions — Motion, CSS animations, or whatever fits the moment
- Evolve and maintain Buffer's design system and component library: improve consistency, fill gaps, refine patterns
- Push site performance and accessibility, and raise front-end engineering standards across marketing codebases
- Work closely with the Marketing UX designer, growth leadership, and customer advocates to figure out what visitors need — then build it

The marketing site is the window into everything the company is building — and as Buffer grows across creators and small teams, the site needs to reflect that energy. You'll be the person who makes buffer.com feel as good as the product itself.
