Senior Product Designer — Planet (Berlin, Hybrid) — Satellite Earth Observation UX

About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to design, prototype, and launch CivGov and Commercial Solutions — defining how users interact with and derive insights from Planet's satellite Earth Observation (EO) data. You'll bridge platform capabilities and customer outcomes: define user profiles, establish jobs-to-be-done, and design end-to-end flows for high-value market opportunities, working closely with Product and Engineering to turn workflows into scalable, reusable UX building blocks.
This is a full-time hybrid role — 3 days per week from our Berlin or Haarlem office.
Impact You'll Own
- Drive end-to-end design: discovery, user research, prototyping, high-fidelity execution
- Lead user research and prototype testing to validate solutions before they ship
- Decompose complex data workflows into cohesive, customer-centric UX patterns
- Set the standard for how satellite data becomes actionable insight for CivGov and commercial users
