What You'll Own

• Complex team member relations matters worldwide: performance management, investigations and policy compliance
• Leading sensitive investigations with discretion, fairness and rigor — high-risk matters land on your desk
• Coaching leaders through confidential workplace issues, helping them handle conversations they'd rather avoid
• Partnering with Legal and People Business Partners on solutions that protect team member experience while reducing organizational risk
• Helping shape GitLab's team member relations practices as a subject matter expert — this is a senior IC role reporting to the Team Member Relations Director, with a high degree of autonomy

Who You Are

• Deep employee relations experience — ideally in tech and across multiple jurisdictions
• Investigative skill and judgment: you know how to gather facts, assess risk and document thoroughly
• The empathy to support people and the backbone to uphold policy — both, not one
• Strong written communication for a remote-first culture where transparency is a value, not a buzzword
