Technical Writer (Product Analytics, Developer-Facing) — Remote Worldwide
About the Opportunity
PostHog — the product analytics platform built for engineers — is looking for a great writer who gets technical stuff and loves figuring out how to explain it to other people. PostHog has a strong writing culture: writing as marketing has worked ridiculously well for them. Their newsletter has over 100k subscribers, active social accounts, and real SEO and AEO authority — hundreds of thousands of people visit the website every day. If you join, you won't spend a year building an audience before anyone reads you.
The Role & Impact
PostHog is opinionated about what it thinks best practice is, and thousands of developers look to them for that opinion. The problem: the team is at capacity, and there's a long list of content being neglected — tutorials, use-case guides, and more. PostHog has grown from product analytics into a broad platform for engineers, and there's a lot to write about.
What You'll Do
- Write technical content that developers actually read and trust
- Create tutorials, use-case guides, and product documentation
- Contribute to PostHog's strong editorial voice — opinionated, clear, and useful
- Ship content to an audience of hundreds of thousands of daily visitors
What You Bring
- Strong writing skills with technical depth — you can explain complex products clearly
- Experience writing for developers or in developer marketing
- The ability to work async in a remote-first, high-trust environment
- Curiosity and a genuine love of the craft of writing
If you want an audience that already exists and a team that values great writing, this is the role.
