Accounting Manager (Tokenized Equities, IFRS/US GAAP) — Abu Dhabi, UAE
The Opportunity
Coinbase is hiring an Accounting Manager to be the finance lead for Tokenized Equities — tokens backed 1:1 by US stocks and ETFs, issued out of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) under FSRA regulation and trading 24/7 onchain. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who loves building from scratch.
The Role & Impact
You'll own the entire accounting and reporting model for this product — from accounting policy and regulatory reporting to GL operations, controls, and finance systems. You'll coordinate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and controllership, plus external auditors and regulators. If you like solving hard problems where few templates exist, this is your playground.
What You'll Do
- Build the accounting model from the ground up: token issuance and redemption, asset tracking, intercompany flows, and the close process
- Own regulatory compliance and reporting to the FSRA, liaising with the regulator directly
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Finance Data to keep new flows accurate and scalable
- Lead accounting analysis for new structures under US GAAP and IFRS — dividends, splits, balance-sheet treatment
- Set up a controlled environment for a regulated launch: audit trails, books and records, data integrity across on-chain and off-chain systems
- Deliver annual audited IFRS financials and support external audits
What You Bring
A degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CA strongly preferred) and solid experience in a regulated setting — capital markets, broker-dealer, or exchange environments. You're comfortable with ambiguity, take ownership, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders and regulators.
