About the Opportunity
N26, Europe's leading digital bank, is looking for an Audit Operations Senior Manager to join the Internal Audit function in Berlin. In this role you'll own the operational policy and support processes that keep Internal Audit running smoothly — from reporting and data analytics to audit tools and the organisational framework behind the function.
The Role & Impact
You'll build a structured data foundation and reliable reporting backbone for the audit function, ensuring full transparency on audit activities and findings. This is a central, cross-functional role where you'll coordinate between Internal Audit, IT, and other control functions.
What You'll Do
- Audit Governance & Methodology: Maintain and further develop the operational framework of Internal Audit — methodologies, standards, and supporting governance processes
- Audit Quality Assurance: Manage the Internal Audit Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP)
- Audit Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual audit reports for senior management and governance bodies, covering coverage, findings, and remediation status
- Audit Data Analytics: Develop data analyses on findings trends, risk indicators, and remediation progress
- Systems Administration: Operate and improve the audit systems landscape — including Audimax and the Jira Audit project
- Issue Monitoring: Oversee tracking of findings and remediation measures, escalating delays where needed
- Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency, automation, and data-driven decision-making across audit operations
What You Need to Be Successful
- A degree in economics, business administration, finance, information systems, or comparable training
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Audit Operations, or Audit Methodology within a regulated environment — banking, financial services, or audit/consulting firms preferred
- Strong understanding of audit governance, methodology, quality assurance, and the end-to-end audit lifecycle
- Fluency in English; German is a plus
