Business Development Specialist (ISO 9001/14001/45001/27001 Certification) — SGS, Muscat, Oman

SGS — the world's leading testing, inspection, and certification company — is hiring a Business Development Specialist in Muscat, Oman to grow its ISO certification services across the Sultanate. If you know certification inside out and love owning the full sales cycle, this is your seat.

The Role & Impact

You'll drive business growth by developing client relationships and managing everything from lead generation to closure and renewal. The ideal candidate comes from an ISO certification body, understands certification processes deeply, and has a proven B2B track record.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Generation & Business Development

• Generate, qualify, and follow up on new business leads; run sales calls and meetings with corporate prospects
• Promote ISO certification services — ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001 and other key standards
• Negotiate commercial terms and pricing and drive opportunities to a successful close

Proposals & Commercial Management

• Understand client requirements (size, industry, scope) to define appropriate audit requirements
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and submit professional commercial proposals
• Manage the pipeline through to contract confirmation

Client Management & Renewals

• Keep existing clients happy through the three-year certification cycle
• Drive renewals and annual surveillance audits — and spot opportunities for extra services like internal auditor training and integrated management systems

Pipeline & Reporting

• Maintain accurate Salesforce records, track performance, and prepare weekly sales reports on closed business, lost opportunities, pipeline status, and projected revenue

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5–6 years overall sales or business development experience
• 2–3 years with an ISO certification body strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of ISO certification processes and standards like ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 27001
• Proven B2B sales, negotiation, and client relationship skills — Salesforce experience is an advantage
