Principal Product Manager, AI Software Factory — GitLab Duo Agent Platform (Remote)
The Role
GitLab is hiring a Principal Product Manager to define and unify the end-to-end software creation experience — from planning and spec through coding, review, and verification. You'll connect capabilities across the GitLab Duo Agent Platform and the wider product so customers get one cohesive, delightful journey instead of a patchwork of features.
What You'll Do
- Own the product vision and strategy for GitLab's software factory experience
- Weave planning, coding, review, and verification workflows into a single coherent product
- Partner across product, engineering, design, and go-to-market to align priorities and execution
- Spot gaps and dependencies across the Duo Agent Platform and adjacent product areas
- Present direction, tradeoffs, and recommendations directly to senior and executive leaders
What You'll Bring
- Product management experience at principal scope, leading complex products across multiple teams
- Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from planning to verification
- Experience with AI products, developer tools, or DevSecOps platforms
- Strong product design instincts — connecting separate capabilities into one fluid experience
- Influence without authority: resolving competing priorities and driving work forward
- An ownership mindset that thrives in fast-changing, ambiguous product areas
