Role Overview
Reporting to the Global Revenue Controller, we're seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to support revenue accounting within our GFS shared services organisation — acting as subject matter expert across complex revenue recognition, accrued and deferred revenue positions, and period-end close. You'll deliver accurate, timely revenue accounting, ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards, maintain the integrity of revenue-related balance sheet accounts, and support high-quality financial reporting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and process revenue accounting journals in accordance with applicable standards
- Reconcile accrued revenue, deferred revenue, contract liability, and related balance sheet accounts — driving timely clearance of aged or complex items
- Apply revenue recognition policies to contracts under IFRS 15 or applicable standards
- Reconcile revenue ledger postings to billing system data and investigate variances
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including cut-off reviews and adjustments
- Maintain accurate revenue records, contract schedules, and supporting documentation
- Work closely with GFS RTR and OTC teams across the end-to-end Order to Cash process
Who You Are
A technically strong revenue accountant with shared services or large-org experience, comfortable with complexity and period-end pressure. Manchester hybrid — the best of a global finance team with a local base.
