The Opportunity

Ziina — the Dubai fintech building the region's leading money platform for consumers and businesses — is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Payments Experience team. You'll build innovative new features, prepare the technology to scale, and help shape an engineering organization that bright minds across the region aspire to join.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with world-class product, design, operations and engineering teams to determine which features deliver the most value — and the best experience for users
• Own and ship end-to-end reliable, scalable and maintainable software that keeps users' funds safe and stands the test of time
• Take features from design, to implementation, to polish, to shipping
• Move quickly, clearly articulate tradeoffs, and own features independently with strong judgment

What You Bring

• Strong backend engineering experience, ideally in payments, fintech or high-scale systems
• Deep understanding of system design, reliability and security best practices
• Obsession with shipping high-quality products — you're an owner, not a ticket-taker
• Ambition to build big things from the ground up in a small, high-agency team
