Where You'll Fit In
Kraken is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to serve as the company's primary legal advisor on employment matters. Based in London, you'll support the People team, business leaders, and employees across multiple jurisdictions — providing strategic, practical guidance on everything throughout the employee lifecycle.
What You'll Own
- Lead legal advice on employment law across the business, partnering with People and leadership globally
- Practical, risk-based guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, accommodations, leaves, and terminations
- Employment law compliance across multiple jurisdictions, working with external counsel where needed
- Workplace investigations involving complaints, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and misconduct
- Drafting and updating employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and procedures
- Advising on reorganisations, restructurings, and reductions in force
- Supporting international growth: new markets, hiring strategies, and workforce models
- Managing disputes, agency inquiries, claims, and litigation alongside external counsel
- Employment due diligence and integration on M&A and strategic transactions
