German-Speaking BDR — GitLab (Remote, UK/IE/DE/NL) — AI-Powered DevSecOps Pipeline
The Opportunity
GitLab — the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, trusted by 50M+ registered users and over half the Fortune 100 — is hiring a German-speaking Business Development Representative. This is a 100% remote role based in the UK, Ireland, Germany, or the Netherlands.
You'll be the first impression for prospects in your territory, opening conversations about GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform and setting the stage for qualified pipeline. Many of our BDRs come from closing roles or team leadership, and the role is a proven runway into Account Executive.
What You'll Do
- Run outbound prospecting to generate qualified meetings and pipeline across your territory
- Hunt new logos and growth opportunities inside existing accounts
- Run discovery conversations that qualify real business needs into Sales Accepted Opportunities
- Hit monthly and quarterly SAO targets with a consistent multi-touch cadence — calls, email, social — via Outreach
- Keep Salesforce current so performance and forecast stay transparent
- Partner with Field, Corporate, and Digital Marketing plus Customer Success on account lists, campaigns, and events
- Refine BDR playbooks in the GitLab handbook and help mentor new hires
What You'll Bring
Fluent German and English, energetic phone skills, sharp listening, and strong writing. You manage high-volume outreach without dropping follow-through, take initiative, and know your way around Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar tools. Previous tech, sales development, or marketing experience is a plus.
Why GitLab
Extensive onboarding and training, an all-remote, values-driven culture, and mentorship from a Business Development Manager from day one. You'll work asynchronously across European time zones with shared playbooks and full documentation — with a clear path to Account Executive.
