Working across industries, the team identifies where AI can create value, designs secure and scalable solutions, and helps them move from exploration into sustained production adoption.
About the Role
As Manager of Applied AI Architects in Munich, you'll lead a team of senior technical leaders responsible for technical strategy and customer journey for OpenAI's largest and most complex customers across the DACH region. Your team acts as the "CTO of the book of business" — partnering with customer executives from pre-sales discovery through deployment, adoption, and measurable impact.
What You'll Do
- Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Applied AI Architects
- Define the strategy and operating model for Applied AI Architecture across Europe
- Own technical account plans across ChatGPT Enterprise, the OpenAI API, Codex, and agentic AI solutions
- Partner with Sales leadership to prioritize portfolios and allocate technical resources
- Serve as executive technical sponsor for critical engagements and a senior voice of the customer inside OpenAI
- Move confidently between regional strategy, executive decisions, architectural depth, and hands-on coaching
Who You Are
You bring deep technical leadership experience — ideally in AI/ML, cloud, or enterprise architecture — with a track record of leading senior technical teams and influencing executives. You combine customer empathy with architectural credibility and can translate business priorities into adoption roadmaps and durable value.
