The role

As a Staff Data Scientist on the Consumer side, you will be the analytical partner for teams shaping how people discover, engage with and return to Reddit. Staff-level means you set the bar: you define the right questions, design rigorous analyses and experiments, and influence leadership decisions with clear evidence.

What you will do

Partner with product, engineering and design on consumer growth initiatives
Design and analyze experiments that move engagement and retention metrics
Build models and frameworks for understanding user behavior at scale
Mentor peers and raise the analytical bar across the team
Communicate insights clearly to executive stakeholders

What you bring

Deep applied data science experience, including experimentation and causal inference
Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with large-scale datasets
Product sense — you know which questions actually matter
A track record of influencing product decisions with data
