Principal Program Manager, Go-To-Market — GitLab (Remote, US/Canada) — Architect AI-Driven Product Launches
About the Opportunity
GitLab is the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps — trusted by more than 50 million registered users and over half of the Fortune 100 to ship better, more secure software faster. As software gets built increasingly by machines and directed by people, GitLab is the layer that brings speed with control: orchestration, context, security, and governance for agentic coding across the entire software development lifecycle.
This is a Principal-level program management role where you own two equal pillars of go-to-market execution for Product & Technical Marketing (PTM).
What You'll Own
- High-stakes launches: You're the strategic and hands-on architect behind GitLab's minor and major product launches — redesigning the launch operating model with AI agents at its core so customers actually discover, adopt, and experience new capabilities.
- Operating model redesign: You don't just run launches; you rebuild how they happen, weaving automation and AI into planning, execution, and measurement.
- Cross-functional orchestration: You'll align marketing, product, sales, and enablement teams around a single, disciplined launch cadence — then make it repeatable.
What You Bring
- Deep experience running complex B2B software launches (SaaS/DevOps/security a strong plus) at a senior program leadership level.
- A track record of designing operational systems, not just executing tasks — you think in processes, metrics, and leverage.
- Credibility with senior stakeholders and the communication chops to rally distributed teams across time zones.
- Genuine comfort with AI as a productivity multiplier — GitLab expects every team member to put AI into daily workflows.
Why GitLab
Fully remote, results-driven, and built on a transparent, handbook-first culture. You'll co-create the future with a team that treats speed with quality, ownership mindset, and customer outcomes as non-negotiable.
