Senior Android Engineer (Kotlin, MAD, Dagger2) — Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Opportunity

Talabat — part of the Delivery Hero Group, the world's pioneering local delivery platform across ~65 countries — is looking for a Senior Android Engineer in Riyadh. What You'll Work On

• Analyze product requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, estimate effort, and deliver solutions in collaboration with the Product team
• Build development components and transform requirements into working software, accurately documented for future maintenance
• Write unit, integration and UI/snapshot tests; investigate and resolve issues and bugs
• Collaborate on code reviews, functional and module testing, and product development improvements
• Assist in user trials and acceptance testing, monitoring and reporting on product development

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong foundations in design patterns and algorithms (Kotlin preferred, Java background accepted)
• Deep expertise in native Android development with a technology-agnostic mindset
• Modern Android Development (MAD) toolkit experience: ViewModel, LiveData, Paging, Navigation, SafeArgs, Retrofit2, RxJava2, multi-module Dagger2
• Solid understanding of modular app architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban)
• A track record of driving impact on complex systems; open-source contributions and technical publications are a strong plus
• Experience with native iOS or Flutter is highly desirable
