Senior Cloud Engineer — Kubernetes, Terraform & Regulated Infrastructure — Remote (Worldwide)

This role sits on a small, specialized team building the company's next frontier: secure, highly scalable database platforms for government and enterprise clients across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments — including fully disconnected (airgapped) setups.
The Mission
Design, develop, and secure a ClickHouse Cloud database platform for regulated, mission-critical environments. You'll work alongside Security, Dataplane, Core, and Infrastructure teams to hit NIST, FedRAMP, Protected B, and IRAP compliance — while keeping ClickHouse's trademark performance and elastic scale intact.
What You'll Build
- High-availability, secure ClickHouse Cloud platforms for regulated workloads
- Deployment automation across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem systems — airgapped environments included
- Kubernetes-native infrastructure: Helm charts, operators, and manifests for HA, replication, and backups
- Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines that make infrastructure reproducible and auditable
- Authentication, encryption, and access-control mechanisms baked into the platform
Who You Are
- 6+ years building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Deep Kubernetes fluency (Helm, Kustomize, operators, Istio, service mesh)
- Hands-on with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, plus NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Go or Python for automation, with solid production debugging instincts
- Experience with regulated or restricted network environments is a strong plus (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-prem equivalents)
