Scale's rapidly growing Global Public Sector team uses AI to address critical challenges facing governments around the world — building custom AI applications that impact millions of citizens, generating high-quality training data for custom LLMs, and delivering upskilling and advisory services. This role is based in Doha, Qatar, as a founding member of the regional team.
The Role
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Forward Deployed), you'll collaborate directly with public sector counterparts to quickly build production-grade, full-stack AI applications that solve their most pressing challenges — and achieve meaningful impact for citizens.
You Will
- Partner with public sector clients to scope, collect feedback and implement solutions for complex problems, including spending up to two weeks per month in client offices
- Architect production-grade applications that integrate AI models with full-stack frameworks
- Own projects end-to-end, from technical discovery to deployment and iteration
- Work closely with Scale's engineering and research teams to push what's possible with AI
What You Bring
- Strong full-stack engineering experience (Python and modern frontend frameworks)
- Experience building and shipping AI-powered applications or integrations
- Excellent communication — you can summarize complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in working directly with customers; Arabic proficiency is a nice-to-have, not required
