The Role
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer based in Austin, you'll help define how machine learning powers Cloudflare's products — building models that operate at planetary scale, on one of the largest and most interesting datasets on the Internet.
You'll work on problems like traffic classification, anomaly detection, security threat detection and performance optimization — shipping ML into production services used by millions of websites.
What You'll Do
- Design, train and deploy ML models into Cloudflare's production network
- Work with massive-scale data pipelines and feature infrastructure
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn ML into customer value
- Own model quality, monitoring and iteration end to end
Who We're Looking For
- Strong ML engineering experience — you ship models to production, not just notebooks
- Solid software engineering fundamentals (Python, distributed systems)
- Experience with large-scale data processing and feature engineering
- AI-native curiosity and a builder mindset: you iterate fast and share what you learn
