About the Role
The Marketplace ETA & Routing team sits at the very heart of how millions of customers experience Careem. This team powers the estimated delivery times and routing logic across every vertical — Food, Groceries, Abu Dhabi Taxi, and Hala — from the moment someone browses a menu to the second their order arrives at the door.
As a Senior Software Engineer I on this team, you'll build and maintain the highly reliable backend systems that make real-time ETAs and routing work at scale.
What You'll Build
- Backend services handling millions of real-time ETA and routing requests daily
- Reliable, low-latency systems that keep Food and Groceries deliveries on time
- AI-assisted tooling and automation to make the platform smarter and faster
Who We're Looking For
- Strong backend engineering experience, ideally in high-throughput, real-time systems
- Solid grasp of distributed systems, performance, and reliability
- Someone who's comfortable with AI as a day-to-day productivity multiplier
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, or Amman
